Care of Floorcloths

Floorcloths should be used on a flat level surface and not over an existing rug. If necessary (for the smaller rugs or the runners), a thin rug mat may be used underneath. The floorcloth should be kept swept and damp-mopped as needed, including the floor underneath the rug. If the rug or placemat becomes soiled, it can be cleaned using a mild, diluated dish soap, followed by clear water. Do not allow the cloth to become water-logged and do not use any abrasive cleaners. Also, do not use Murphy oil soap, or other similar cleaning agents, which can dissolve the polyacrylic top surface.
